Single Premiere: The Great Salmon Famine – The Funky Circus

This month’s cover story and 2018 Bandwagon Battle Of The Bands winner The Great Salmon Famine premiere their lead single The Funky Circus via Bandwagmag.com today.

A downtempo bass guitar pulse thumps along with a Sgt. Pepper organ twirling about in the background setting the perfect scene for The Great Salmon Famine’s mantra: play.

Youthful ringmaster vocals expound, narrating the literal circus imagery the instrumentation’s already hinted at from the top. The vocals, a relatively new addition for the 5-Piece Fort Collins funk & jam band, remind us just how fully invested in the self-defining goofiness the Great Salmon Famine are.

A rapid-speed breakdown midway through comes complete with maniacal laughter and kazoo, rounding out the climax of this, the first single from their yet-to-be-announced album.
