2012 Election Live Blog

by BandWagon Magazine

Tonight’s the night, Colorado. After all the campaigns and “Vote for Me” signs, after hosting the first presidential debate of the cycle, after what many thought was a long year of politics, Election Day is finally upon us. Tonight, the BandWagon will do its best to keep you informed on what matters. We’ll be focusing on local and state results. Here, we’ll be looking at House District 4 (Brandon Shaffer against Cory Gardner,) State House District 50 (Skip Carlson against Dave Young,) and the statewide ballot initiatives for amendments 64 (marijuana decriminalization) and 65 (corporate campaign contributions) in addition to the outcome of our swing state’s presidential vote.

On the live blog, we’ll feature important updates and analysis as well as our official calls on the outcomes of the above. We’ll also be tweeting regularly (@bandwagmag) with vote count updates from around the state. Our News & Politics Editor (@austinwulf) will also be tweeting all night for those interested in a look at the rest of the nation.

So settle in with some red-white-and-blue cocktails and celebrate American democracy in action–or, at least, the 4-year hiatus of presidential campaigning.
