You won’t need an invite from David Wooderson or anyone from the Dazed and Confused crew to come out to The Emporium Sports Bar in Greeley this summer.

Inspired by the 1993 film, everyone and their friends are invited to check out the Emporium on June 1 for its scheduled soft opening.

The Greeley Emporium is located at 2700 W. 10th St., formerly the site of Garibaldi Night Club and Bingo Planet before that.

This is the third Emporium location opened by Josh Dollgener and managing members Eric Bolton and Scott Smith. The trio opened the first location in 2018 in Fort Collins and the second in 2023 in Windsor.

Dollgener said Greeley’s Emporium will be their largest location, featuring over 9,000 square feet. It will offer local beers on tap, a kitchen, pool tables, dart boards, TVs, arcade games, foosball, and pinball machines, in what Dollenger describes as a “third space.”

“A third space from my perspective is a place (where) people can come together that’s not quite a bar, it’s not quite a homie’s house,” Dollgener said. “It’s just a third space that people can come and enjoy themselves together with low expectations.”

Even though sports will be playing on the TVs, Dollgener said he, Bolton and Smith have worked to ensure their locations aren’t pigeonholed as sports bars, but as places offering something for everybody.

“Our main mission is to provide a space for community,” Dollgener said. “I think that’s the biggest thing that people are missing these days, especially post-COVID 19.”

“Everyone could use a little more friends and people around them,” Dollgener said.

The Emporium locations are open from 3 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, noon to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. All the locations are family-friendly until 9 p.m.
