Flipturn Lights Up a Sold-Out Mission Ballroom

DENVER — Flipturn, one of indie rock’s fastest-rising acts, turned Mission Ballroom into a full-fledged celebration on March 15, 2025. The Florida-based quintet—Dillon Basse (vocals, guitar), Tristan Duncan (lead guitar), Madeline Jarman (bass), Mitch Fountain (synth, keys), and Devon VonBalson (drums)—brought their signature mix of dreamy melodies and high-energy hooks to a sold-out crowd. With Krooked Kings kicking things off, the night was a nonstop wave of soaring anthems and emotional depth.

Known for their shimmering debut album Shadowglow and fan-favorite tracks like “Playground” and “Whales,” Flipturn has rapidly climbed the indie ranks, gracing festival stages from Lollapalooza to Bonnaroo. Their Denver set was a testament to their ascent, with the audience singing every word to hits like “Chicago” and “August.” If their Mission Ballroom takeover proved anything, it’s that Flipturn isn’t just an up-and-coming band—they’ve arrived.
